Barcelona highlights

Day 1: Barcelona

Arrival to Barcelona and transfer to your hotel. We suggest to walk around downtown, in particular the favourite walk among the Barcelona people: Plaza Catalunya and to walk along the ‘Ramblas’ street finishing in the port. There, the popular and characteristic market of flowers and birds is in the morning. This area is full of people watching street-actors and musicians etc. A Tapas Tour through the historical quarter of Barcelona as the best introduction to the local gastronomy and wines of Madrid and Spain. . Day 2: Barcelona

Your English speaking local guide will be waiting you for a walking tour in the oldest downtown BARCELONA, the Gothic quarter. There we will visit the Boqueria Market (if it is working day) we will see inside a modernist structure, the explosion of colours of the fruits, meat etc Later we will follow to visit the Cathedral and in the maze of little streets around where we will find splendid palaces and some of the main institution building as Generalitat (regional government). We will visit St.Maria del Mar in splendi Gothic art.

Day 3: Barcelona/OPTIONS

Enjoy a day out to discover one of the beautiful villages or cities surrounding Barcelona. We suggest you to enjoy a full day excursion to visit Dali’s surrealist museum and medieval wonders of Girona or the Priorat wine region or Montserrat. . Accommodation in Barcelona

Day 4: Barcelona

Your English speaking local guide will be waiting for an art tour and enjoy of two of the masters of the 20th century art: Gaudí and Picasso . Accommodation in Barcelona

Day 5: Barcelona
