DON QUIJOTE MONTA DE NUEVO

DAY 1 MADRID-ALCALA DE HENARES

Arrival to the airport and to Alcala de Henares (arrival in 30m).
ALCALA HENARES. Afternoon guided visit, where Cervantes was born. Here is the “Casa de Cervantes” and also an interesting historical center. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 2 ALCALA HENARES-CHINCHON-EL TOBOSO-CAMPO DE CRIPTANA-VILLANUEVA DE LOS INFANTES

Breakfast at hotel. Departure to CHINCHON. The most typical square in Castilla, declared National Monument. It would be the perfect natural decoration, where it seems that is about to appear Don Quixote. Beautiful village.
EL TOBOSO. Name, that it will always be linked to the platonic love of Don Quixote, Dulcinea del Toboso. Visit of Dulcinea´s house, where there is the Museum of Love, and Cervantine Library.
CAMPO CRIPTANA. Mills of winds, the main element of the characteristic landscape of La Mancha region. Here we will visit one of them, that has preserved not only the structure, also the mechanism.
VILLANUEVA INFANTES. Beautiful village well preserved. We recommend to walk around the town with its nightly illumination. Dinner and overnight at hotel .

DAY 3 VILLANUEVA INFANTES-LAGUNAS DE RUIDERA-VALDEPEÑAS-ALMAGRO

Breakfast at hotel. Departure to LAGUNAS DE RUIDERA. Natural Park that is a sequence of lakes, that are communicating one with each other (until 16). There is also the Montesinos´ cave, where it happens another chapter of Don Quixote. VALDEPEÑAS.Is the wine region with more spreading of Europe, we will visit a wine cellar (if it is working day). ALMAGRO. Characteristic town of “La Mancha”. Visit of “Corral de Comedias “ (medieval theater) perfectly preserved. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 4 ALMAGRO-TABLAS DE DAIMIEL-CONSUEGRA-ARANJUEZ-TOLEDO

Breakfast at hotel. Departure to TABLAS DE DAIMIEL. National Park of enormous importance for birds.
CONSUEGRA. Stop to see one of the biggest concentration of Mills of winds, wich are the most tipical element of the landscape in this region and they are the symbol of Don Quixote.
ARANJUEZ. Afternoon guided visit of the Royal Palace and gardens (Royal summer residence of The Borbons), wich are the inspiration of one of the most famous works of contemporary classical for guitar “ The Gardens of Aranjuez “.
TOLEDO. It has been the capital of Spain and the royal residence in the XIII century. During this period, Muslim, Jews and Christians populations lived together peacefully turning it as a great cultural and monumental center. We will enjoy walking along its narrow streets where the history can be felt in the air. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 5 TOLEDO

Breakfast, dinner and overnight at hotel.
Morning guided city tour, we will visit the Cathedral, St tome Church (where is El Greco painter’s masterpiece) and the Synagogue. Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 6 TOLEDO-MADRID

Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Madrid airport (arrival in 90 minutes aprox.)
